Playwright and Lyricist Dana Leslie Goldstein has won the New England New Play Competition, Harold and Mimi Steinberg Playwriting Prize, Different Voices New Play Award, ACTF New Play Award, Henry Hoyns Poetry Fellowship, AWP Intro Award, an Academy of American Poets Prize and numerous development grants.  Her work been seen at Manhattan Theatre Club, Cherry Lane, Culture Project, Julia Miles Theater (Women’s Project), The York, Theatre80, Theater for the New City, New Dramatists, Center Stage, BMI, Vineyard Playhouse, Pulse, Theater Row Theatre, Gene Frankel Theatre, The Barrow Group, Acorn Theatre, The Lark, Beckett Theatre, Neighborhood Playhouse, The Workshop Theater, Torn Page, Pacific Theatre (Vancouver), TischAsia (Singapore), NYMF, on Ellis and Liberty Islands, at the U.N. and on Equity TYA tours. Dana is a librettist in the BMI/Lehmann Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, and a playwright member of The Workshop Theater. Franky D. Gonzalez is a playwright and TV writer of Colombian descent living in Dallas, TX originally from Queens, NY. He holds a BA in Theatre from the University of North Texas and has had his work featured throughout the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex since 2011. He served proudly as the Dramatists Guild Regional Representative for the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in 2018. Nationally, his work has appeared with The Lark, the Great Plains Theatre Conference, Bishop Arts Theatre Center, Repertorio Español, LAByrinth Theater Company, Dallas Theater Center, Austin Latino New Play Festival, The Mid-America Theatre Conference, The Midwest Dramatists Conference, A Light in Dark Places, and the One-Minute Play Festival with Kitchen Dog Theatre. Franky has won the MetLife Nuestras Voces Latino Playwriting Award, the Short+Sweet Theatre Festival Manila Best Overall Production Prize, was selected for a MacDowell Fellowship, and has written for the television series 13 Reasons Why. He has also been a finalist for the San Diego REP Latinx New Play Festival, The Dennis and Victoria Ross Foundation Playwriting Program, the Playwrights Realm Scratchpad Series, and a semi-finalist for the Bay Area Playwrights Festival, the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference and runner-up for the Alpine Fellowship.

Currently residing in the cornfields of the Midwest, I’m a rural American playwright raised in Alabama, New Mexico and West Texas. My aesthetic view is a fusion of Southern Appalachian and Southwest U.S. culture and heavily influenced by the literary genres of Magical Realism, Romanticism and Gothicism. I’m the author of the Southern Gothic crime noir, To Tread Among Serpents (Winner of the Southern Playwrights Competition, O’Neill Semi-finalist); the dark comedy western, The Hall of Final Ruin (Princess Grace Semi-finalist, BAPF Semi-finalist, Renaissance Theaterworks Brink! Award); and A Poison Squad of Whispering Women (BAPF Finalist). Short plays include El Loro, El Gato Y El Espíritu Santo (or The Parrot, the Cat, and the Holy Ghost) (published by YouthPLAYS; Sock Puppet Fetish Noir; and The Show Must NOT Go On! (Cambridge University Press Finalist). My plays have been developed or produced by NyLon Fusion Theatre (NYC), Something Marvelous (Chicago),The Barter Theatre (VA), Renaissance Theaterworks (Milwaukee),The Bechdel Group (NY), Teatro Vivo, (Austin), Jacksonville State University (AL), Raíces Theatre Company (Buffalo), Something Something Theatre (Tucson), and the Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette (IN). Prominent themes in my writing include women and vice, death, religion, money, race, class, and gender. A member of the Dramatists Guild of America, I have a degree in Theatre Arts and an English Literature minor from the University of New Mexico.
