Bethany Dickens Assaf (she/her) is the Literary Manager for MadLab Theatre of Columbus, a teaching artist with Central Florida Community Arts, and a founding member of both the Next Stage Playwrights in Cincinnati and the Whiskey Theatre Factory of Orlando. Her current writing reflects her perspective and work as a radical feminist, emphasizing LGBTQ+ stories and the American Midwest. In the past two years, her short plays have received over fifty productions across the country, including: 4: an Evening of Short Works in Orlando, Florida. Her first full-length, Exit Wound, was a finalist for the Actors Guild of Parkersburg’s “Giving Voice” initiative and her second, The Consciousness, was performed at the Cincinnati Fringe Festival and Tampa Bay Theatre Festival (Best Full-Length Play). In 2020, her most recent full-length, Dark, Dark, Dark was workshopped at the Mid-America Theatre Conference and Playwrights’ Round Table. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild.

Barbara Lindsay’s first full length play, Free, won the NY Drama League’s 1989 Playwrighting Competition and was given its premiere production in London in 1991.  Since then there have been more than 400 national and international productions of her plays and monologues in 33 States, 13 countries, and on every continent except Antarctica.  Full length play I-2195 won the Women in the Arts Award at UM St. Louis and was produced there in 2005.  Short play Here To Serve You won the 2008 Goshen Peace Play Prize.  One act Heavenly Light won the same prize in 2020, making Barbara the only playwright to have won this award twice.  A screen adaptation of her full length play The Walkers is currently in pre-production, pending the end of COVID restrictions.  In 2011 she was Playwright-in-Residence for New Voices for the Theater, a two-week playwriting intensive for teens produced annually by SPARC (School of the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community) in VA.   She is a fifth generation Californian living in Seattle, WA, married to an amazing man, and ridiculously happy.

Nick Malakhow (he/him/his) is a Dominican and Ukrainian writer and theater educator based in Boston. His full-length work includes Seeing Eye (developed with Victory Gardens, Fresh Ink, Actors Studio at Newburyport, finalist for the 2019 O’Neill NPC, the 2018 LTC/HowlRound Carnaval, and the 2020 In-Progress Reading Series at the Unicorn Theatre), A Picture of Two Boys (developed with Abingdon Theatre Company, Skylight Theatre, the Quarantine Series), and Grit (developed with Playhouse on Park, Fuse Theater, Theatre@First). His other work has been developed or produced by the Open Theatre Project, the Q Collective, and as part of the 2018 Boston Theater Marathon. Nick was a Company One Playlab Unit member for C1’s 2019 season. He has also taught theater, English, and creative writing at the secondary level for over ten years in the greater Philly and Boston areas. He grew up in the diverse town of Teaneck, New Jersey. Kim Euell is a playwright, dramaturg and educator who is passionately committed to promoting socially relevant new plays. She is the Resident Dramaturg for San Francisco’s internationally acclaimed Zaccho Dance Theater and is a Company Member of Penumbra Theatre Company in St. Paul. Kim has headed play development programs at The Mark Taper Forum, San Jose Rep and the Tony Award-­‐winning Hartford Stage Company. Voices!, the program she founded at Hartford Stage to commission and produce the work of under-­‐represented playwrights yielded Quiara Alegria Hudes’s Pulitzer Prize-­winning play WATER BY THE SPOONFUL. Kim has worked as a new play dramaturg at The Humana Festival, Berkeley Rep’s Ground Floor Residency, the Sundance Theatre Lab and the Bay Area Playwrights Festival. Her plays interrogating issues of race, class and cultural assimilation have been performed at theaters in every region of the country as well as at Cape Town’s Magnet Theater in South Africa. Kim’s play PRINCETON JUNCTION was part of the University of Iowa’s season opener last Fall, 6 by 6: Perspectives on Social Justice. Kim was Playwright in Residence at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2014-­‐2018, a Core Writer at the Playwrights Center and a member of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Writers Group. Kim currently teaches in the Theatre Department and the Digital Cinema Program at Southern Oregon University. She is excited to be part of the Clamour Theatre’s New Play Festival!
