THE PLAYS
SUNDAY, MAR 5, 7 PM EASTERN – “From the Bath” by Maggie Wilson
Fast and manic with moments of calm, a mother and daughter spend 25 years exploring their version of love—something complicated, consuming, and vulnerable.
MONDAY, MAR 6, 7 PM EASTERN – “Destination Wedding” by Christine Benvenuto
Graduate student Leanne won’t stop making awkward comments about race, class, and family dynamics during her first visit to the home of her professor. As his family ask, who is she? What is she doing there? What is her message? And who is the woman from Guy’s past that she reminds them all of?
TUESDAY, MAR 7, 7 PM EASTERN – “Winchester/Winchester” by Katherine Vondy
The world is full of peril for young women, but what can teenage lives separated by an ocean and a millennium possibly have in common? WINCHESTER/WINCHESTER is a darkly comic and poignant exploration of the relationships between two pairs of sisters, living in sister cities a thousand years apart.
WEDNESDAY, MAR 8, 7 PM EASTERN – “@MyItalianGrandma” by Bill D’Agostino
In his mid-20s, Steven is forced to move in with his reclusive Italian grandma. This odd couple comedy gets a modern twist when Steven starts secretly quoting her on social media, and it goes unexpectedly viral.
THURSDAY, Mar 9, 7 PM EASTERN – “[overlap]” by Erin Proctor
A contemporary romance about young adult thespians that throws the idea that plays need to choose one genre out the window.
