Passing the Baton

Celebrate the installation of the River Park Inn’s historic marker (the Inn was originally Cottage A on the grounds of the renowned Clarendon Hotel) with two encore presentations of PASSING THE BATON by Elaine Smith based on real-life historical figure Dr. Joseph Applegate. Portrayed by Michael Zelenka, Dr. Applegate talks about his life, his time as the owner of the Clarendon, and the many wealthy and notable patrons of the Hotel during Green Cove’s heyday as a resort town from 1870 to 1900.  Fun & painless local history!
